Description:

Take one of our tours of discovery, a photographic journey to view Central Otago’s most spectacular scenery and ecology, from vast open skies to incredible rock formations and golden tussocks. On the way we will visit some historic places from this area’s past, travel through some undulating backcountry roads to experience pristine rivers and majestic mountain ranges.

Short and long safaris to the Old Man Range, Bannockburn and the Nevis, Poolburn Dam to name just a few. We will boil the Billy for morning/afternoon tea and also provide a picnic lunch for the longer Safaris. We offer Mountain Bike charter adventures and guided fishing tours in the summer months.

Your host Alan is a very keen fisherman with some 40 years experience. He can guide or fish with you on one of our near by high country lakes or rivers. Central Otago Rock & Tussock Safari's are based in the historic village of Clyde. For that personal experience to view our incredible landscape we only cater for a maximum of 4 passengers in each of our 2 vehicles. Design your own adventure, packages are available for fish and stay as we also run a Bed and Breakfast called “Argyll on Clyde.”
