Whelan Construction Ltd have operated in Central Otago since 2007. The owners of Whelan Construction Ltd, Warren Whelan and Vivien Sangster have been involved in the construction industry for many years. Warren is trade qualified and a Licensed Building practitioner and has been in the construction industry for more than 37 years .Viviens’ background is kitchen sales and design and office administration.
Warren and Vivien also own the Highmark Homes Franchise in Central Otago/ Lakes District and Southland and offer homes from 1 bedroom 50m2 to 300m2 homes from the Highmark and Factory Direct Kitset Homes (FDK) Range. They also specialize in Custom design homes of all shapes and sizes for their very discerning customer base.
Whelan Construction Ltd are members of Master Builders and offer Master Build Warranties on all the new homes that they construct.
As a very diverse construction company in the Central Otago/ Lakes District and Southland areas, we undertake all types of Alterations and Additions to existing homes and commercial buildings. A Master Build Guarantee is also offered on much of this residential work.
Whelan Construction Ltd is also the authorised  contractor in Central Otago and Wanaka for Vero, AMP and AA Insurance companies. This type of work is generally urgent repairs and renovations to damaged structures and residences from small homes to large multi- million dollar architectural homes.
Whelan Construction Ltd have recently  completed major renovations to Mitre 10 Alexandra and Olivers’ in Clyde.  Whelan Construction Ltd were awarded a Silver Medal for the quality of their workmanship in the 2011 Master Builders Commercial awards for the work carried out at Oliver’s.
